Niko was born and raised in Sharlayan, to a family of scholars. He was taught how to both be an Astrologian and how to wield a Lance once he was old enough. However, his family would soon learn that Niko had an endless thirst for new information.Many times his father would find him asleep in the archives, or at his desk in the studium. His father never minded, unless he got caught in the forbidden archives.The older he got the more curious Niko got, thus began his streak for finding trouble. More often than not, he would be found studying forbidden topics. Some of which got him in with some groups he shouldn't have.Down the line Niko became the leading knowledge on temporal distortions, thus earning him the title of archon. Much to the dismay of his parents seeing as it recently became a topic. Frowned uponEventually the Forum had enough of Niko and his antics, and gave him an ultimatum, cease his studies or leave Sharylan. Not wanting to stop his studies. Niko took the 1st ship he could to Limsa and there began his journey to become a warrior of light.
